Due 10/16
There isn't anything specificly that I wish I would have known before college. Maybe because I was already exposed to the part time life style of a college student. I took a couple of classes at the college down the street from my high school. But if I were to give any advise to give any advise to an incoming college student, it would be to just stay on top of your work and stay focused, because its much easier then high school, to fall behind on your assignments.

Due 10/9
There are a ton of activities, clubs, and group community functions that you can get involved with that would definately boost both your adademic and employee resume. A big one would be the active participation in a group called Trio. There are a ton avalible and offered with your community, church, and schools on and off campus. One that I attend is a group called C.R.U. A christion organization that stands for 'Campus Crusade for Christ' and it's really fun. We start off by eating and praying and the we have an ice breaker. After that we get started by watching a weekly video through the ALPHA usa challege. Next we split up into discussion groups and tlak about it and then that concludes the session.
Due 10/2
Although debit cards and credit cars have a similar concept and work almost the same way, there are big deferences in the ways they are handled and paid off. For one credit cards are mainly for defered payment where you are able to pay in full at a later time or that you can even make a payment plan. In most situations i would choose to use a debit just for the simple fact the I am spending money that I am certain I have. But some situations like maybe grocery shoppping,(not any huge costs) where I might pay with credit just to build a good credit score. The time to borrow money from somewherre or take out a loan would be if I was attending school and needed a bill paid off as soon as possible and I didn't have the money at the time.

Due 9/25
To ensure that I am in fact doing my best possible work in each class, I try to take time out of my busy schedule weekly to understand and go over the material taught in class the recent class periods before. For example for math, I make sure that i finish all the questions and I understand then after going over all of it with a tutor (which is really helpful) and then before the test I go over all of my graded homework, notes and reviews for the test. Then for English, I read the material, and answer the questions and then when the test day gets near, i basicly redo all the the homework. Same with writing, I like to do alot of going over material again and again. That helps especially with the writing process. Prewriting, mapping, outline, rough draft then final, with alot of revising in between.

Due 9/18
There are a few steps I usually take to prepare myself for an up coming test or exam. So first it is always important to take good notes, in class and also on your ownvwhile doing homework if you may have any questions about a section or part of a chapter. Next it is even more improtant to continuously go over your notes to enbed the material into your memory. Memorization skills are the most effictive method to being successful, expecially for math exams like remembering formulas, or chemisty where you need to rememeber elements on the periodic table.
I agree that all tests are learning experiences. when one takes a test or is being testeed, ulimaely they come out with more than they went in with. Failing or Passing they come out with experience and knowledge about either a certain topic or just seeing the way things opporate.

Due 9/11
I have a few specific stategies I use whenever I'm in class taking notes, or even just sitting at a presentation and the presenter says something important that I may need for later. For one I always have my paper, pencil, and pen handy and ready to go. Second, you must be an active listener able to pick out the important points of the demonstration. Lastly, its important not to take too much time writing down every single word spoken because you may miss something.
The way I use my notes to study for tests are to read over the study guide and answer as many questions as I can first, then go back over all my notes, and answer the rest from there.

Due 8/28
The major that I am studying right now is Accounting. Before i decided to pursue that I was leaning toward Administrative Justice and maybe becoming a layer, but I made my mind up because I think my math skills are a little bit stronger than my others.
One of my Career goals and deals are to be a Sprinter in the Olympics in 2016. And with the skills that I now posses and will have required in the next 2 years thru CAC and trio, I will be well prepared to manage the income I will be receiving. But as a 'Plan B',I could become an accountant.
